UNICEF’s mission is to protect children and ensure critical resources reach those who need them most. But even with a mission this urgent, the tools they had weren’t keeping pace. Their manual, document-based process lacked the efficiency, accessibility, and scalability needed for teams across the globe to run effective fundraising campaigns.
Solution
We partnered with UNICEF and QuarkXPress to design the user experience and develop the front-end of the Funding Marketplace—a prescriptive content management system that improves the quality of donor income through standardized, web-based Toolkits. The platform organizes donor-facing financial data, budget reports, and Human Interest Materials, giving country offices a clear and accessible way to create, review, and manage donor materials. Over multiple project phases, we refined the interface and workflows to ensure each enhancement was thoughtfully integrated into the existing system.
Results
The Funding Marketplace transformed donor management across more than 80 UNICEF country offices, improving coordination, transparency, and efficiency. The platform became a one-stop hub where teams could access multi-year, multi-donor fundraising packages and standardized reporting tools—reducing custom requests and strengthening collaboration between offices.

Evolving the Funding Marketplace
Throughout multiple phases of the Funding Marketplace project, we developed wireframes and detailed functionality flows to define how country offices create, review, and manage donor toolkits. These visuals served as blueprints for each release cycle, ensuring that every enhancement was thoughtfully integrated into the existing system without disrupting how teams already worked.
Streamlined Document Management
UNICEF Toolkit provided a structured interface for managing, editing, and organizing documents, ensuring efficient collaboration between country offices.
