Challenge
Mr. Ellie Pooh sells fair-trade paper products made from elephant waste! These eco-friendly products promote conservation and create jobs in Sri Lanka. However, their outdated e-commerce site was limiting sales and didn’t effectively showcase their mission or products. They needed a modern, mobile-friendly online store to reach a wider audience and drive growth.
Solution
We redesigned and rebuilt Mr. Ellie Pooh’s online store on Shopify, using custom templates tailored to showcase their products and mission. We photographed hundreds of products, capturing their unique qualities and craftsmanship. To truly highlight their impact, we traveled to Sri Lanka to photograph the artisans at work and document the factory, bringing the story of fair trade and conservation to life.
Results
The new Shopify store led to a tenfold increase in sales, dramatically expanding Mr. Ellie Pooh’s reach. With a modern e-commerce experience, more customers can now support their mission, helping sustain fair-wage jobs for artisans in Sri Lanka while promoting elephant conservation.

Mr. Ellie Pooh is a member of the Fair Trade Federation. That means they maintain a safe and healthy working environment for papermakers and artisans. The Papermakers and Artisans section establishes transparency. It helps inform shoppers about the positive impacts of purchasing fair trade products.
