Conservation Awareness: Sparking Interest with Every Laugh

A responsive website design for 'Endangered Species Revenge' displayed on a desktop monitor, tablet, and smartphone.

Project Overview

Challenge

Endangered Species Revenge (ESR) wanted to spark generosity and action for conservation—but they chose to do it through laughter, play, and humor. That’s brave work. Yet their website couldn’t keep up. Without mobile optimization and with limited ways to connect, their mission to turn giggles into giving was hitting a wall. The heart was there, but the platform was holding them back.

Solution

We built a space where their voice could shine. Reimagining the ESR website on WordPress, we created a home for both storytelling and giving—one that worked beautifully across every device. We leaned into their spirit, blending whimsical characters with powerful conservation imagery, and gave visitors clear pathways to watch, learn, laugh, and donate. And we did it all with a respect for their budget and timeline, because good stewardship matters as much as good storytelling.

Results

The new site transformed engagement. Visitors could find their way, feel the mission, and act—without friction. Donations rose, awareness spread, and ESR’s conservation message reached further than before. It’s proof that joy and purpose can live side by side—and that when you clear a path for people to connect, they will.

  • WordPress development

Striking the balance in humor and harsh realities

ESR takes an unexpected approach to conservation—combining humor, satire, and storytelling to highlight the harsh realities facing endangered species. The website’s design reflects this balance, blending cute, expressive characters with visuals that underscore the real-world urgency of conservation efforts.

Working with Carl and Avidano Digital has opened my eyes to what the process of constructing a great website should be! And, what a beautiful, highly-functional, yet speedily-constructed site should look like. Over the years I have paid much more money to other web design teams—and all of them charged more than Carl, took longer, and created websites which were not nearly as beautiful, user-friendly, or highly-functional as Avidano Digital’s.

Carl suggested both sweeping functional and aesthetic changes, as well as small details, to improve the user experience of my site—which I never would have considered. The result is that our company has a more professional site than we’ve ever had. Carl’s ability to quickly hone in on what our most vital need was—to make our non-profit’s numerous wildlife conservation videos as easy to navigate and view as possible—and to then construct every functional and aesthetic detail around this need, was impressive.

Plus, Carl is a pleasure to work with.
